This project examines the role of social media marketing used by small and medium enterprises in Helsinki, Finland.
The primary objective of the study is to research the growth of using social media as an important marketing platform of different SMEs in Helsinki and provide helpful analyses together with recommendations for Meng Loan Oy about implementing social media marketing.
The thesis is made up of a theory section and an empirical section that deals with the case company. In more detail, the theory section discusses the foundation of online marketing, especially the different types of social media platform, social medium and the measurement tools for social information based on relevant literature and electronic sources. Meanwhile, the empirical section focuses on the situation and management of social media marketing towards SMEs in Helsinki and recommendations for case company.
