Tiivistelmä
The thesis was focused on analysis of the most popular methods for secondary use of packaging in the world, especially in Finland and Russia, and the existing situation on both markets was described.
The main objective was to research the used methods for secondary use of packaging, and to suggest innovative and modern improvements. The theoretical framework was completed by studying literature that is related to the chosen topic. The empirical part is based on analyzing the information from theoretical research, annual reports and other information related to Finnish and Russian recycling companies, which were compared to each other.
Considering the fact that both countries that were studied in this thesis have their re-cycling systems, it should be noted that Finland has much developed recycling prac-tices. In order to improve the using of recycled plastic, production of filament for 3D printers was suggested.
