The purpose of this study is to find out the number of foreign travelers in China and in
Finland and describe the main attractions in both countries. Also the goal of this work is to
find out, how the individuals and travel agents see the travelers needs to change in the future.
I chose the quantitative research methodology as my research methods. Data was collected
between June through August 2010 and to do interviews based on the questionnaires which
designed. All together eight students, including five Chinese students and three Finnish
students as well as five travel agencies both in China and Finland responsed to the questions.
The main findings were: 1) all thirteen respondents were interested in business cooperation
in the travel market between China and Finland. Most of respondents liked to travel in each
others' country and want to build business relationships between Finland and China. 2) The
kind of attractions that people would like to visit. 3) The kind of things they like to consider,
for example:accommodation. Based on the results of this study, business opportunities in the
travel market does exist under the China - Finland collaboration. The development of a
business cooperation would improve future travel planning.
