In this degree thesis my purpose is to plan an event, Midvinterfesten, to the sports club Dicken. Because there are no instructions on how the event should be organized my aim will be to find out, from an organizers prospective, how you can provide the guests a good event easily without the quality suffering. I have decided to use a case study to get as good results as possible. In the case study I have planned an event, used interviews and observations to get information on how the event actually went and analyzed the final result on basis of the literature I have used in the degree projects pasture theory part. The literature has mainly consisted of Vallo & Häyrinen (2012), Kauhanen et. al. (2002) and Tum (2006) works. I have limited my degree thesis to party events and to generally view the event from an organizer's perspective. In the empirical part, only the practical elements that are special about our event will be discussed. The parts that normally belong to all events background work will not be taken in to this degree thesis. In the results we can see, that we as organizers were successful in organizing the party. We always knew what was going on and managed to get everything done on time. For the future, we should, as organizers, focus more on engaging the guests in the program and ensure that the food tastes better.
