Videon käytöstä oppimateriaalina on havaittu olevan monia hyötyjä.
Keskonen on usein inkubaattorissa eli hoitokaapissa, johon on tehty hänelle suotuisat olosuhteet.
Video tehtiin VarsinaisSuomen kuvantamiskeskuksen eli VSKK:n käytäntöjen mukaisesti. Jatkokehittämisehdotuksena oli uusien opetusvideoiden tekeminen lasten kuvantamiseen liittyen. Myös eri ammattiryhmien rajat ylittävästä yhteistyöstä voisi tehdä kokonaan oman opinnäytetyön.

Our principal was the Health Care District of Southwest Finland (VSSHP). The written part of the thesis includes overview of the literature, and the educational video was made based on it. The process was supported by Turku University Hospital´s (TYKS) neonatal intensive care unit and UB2 x¬ray department.
There are many benefits using a video as a learning material. The video arouses students’ interest and is a good variation on the most common forms of teaching. The video produced as the result of this thesis depicted a chest imaging event of the premature baby from the beginning to the end. It included video and still footage along with a narrative.
A premature baby is a newborn baby born before the 37th week of pregnancy. The premature baby is often in an incubator which has favorable conditions for it. In premature infants, various respiratory problems and illnesses are encountered, which are identified with the help of the chest images. The premature baby is very sensitive to ionizing radiation, so imaging emphasizes radiation protection and collaboration between different professional groups. Teaching material on premature babies therefore benefited both radiographer and nursing students.
According to the feedback from the video, the video was successful and served its purpose well as an educational video. The video was made in accordance with the practices of the Southwest Finland Imaging Center (VSKK). The suggestion for further development was to make new educational videos on child imaging. Cross¬border collaboration between different professional groups could also be a theme for a new bachelor´s thesis.
