Logline: A driving school student with a fear of driving must find a way out from a hijacking – and save himself and his eccentric driving school teacher.
Synopsis: Ville and Jessica have sex in vintage car, parked in a garage. Afterwards Jessica gets disappointed because Ville can’t take her out for a drive in one of his father’s cars because he doesn’t have a driver’s license. She also learns that Ville’s mother died in a car accident in 2015 which has caused a trauma for Ville. Two weeks later Ville is sent home from the army for not coping there. He and Jessica find out that Jessica is pregnant. Jessica pushes Ville away and her parents also don’t have strong faith in Ville’s capabilities. Jessica breaks up with Ville after he fails to show he can truly handle things and take charge.
Ville has his first driving lesson with an eccentric driving teacher Unna but he ends up spending 10 hours on the road under pressure from a Russian criminal Tyoma who hijacks the car in the beginning of the lesson to use Ville in his pursuit to find the manufacturer of a drug that killed his brother.
Ville and Unna follow Tyoma’s directions but Ville shows some signs of protest along the way. In the end, Ville understands that he simply won’t be able to abandon Unna. The trio ends up being chased by Tyoma’s enemies. Ville maneuvers the car so that they survive a crash. The police arrive and assume that Tyoma is reaching for a gun, so they shoot him, and he falls dead on the snowy ground. Ville apologises to Unna in a Russian hospital for causing the crash. Unna explains that not all accidents are bad and that Ville needs to continue the lessons. Before Ville leaves Russia, he surprises Unna with a thoughtful gift and promises to continue the lessons with her.
Ville stands up to Jessica and tells her he needs time to think whether they can be together or not. He confronts another one of Tyoma’s enemies in Olavi’s garage and rescues everyone by once again showing his masterful driving skills.
Jessica delivers a healthy baby and Ville gets his driving license with Unna by his side. Six years later he is a driving school teacher and celebrates his second child’s, Unna’s, birthday with all his loved ones, including Jessica.
