Tiivistelmä
The aim of the thesis was to develop a mobile application built in the Flutter framework created by Google. Flutter is known as a cross-platform framework to support developers to develop applications that can run on Android, IOS, Web, and Desktops depending on only one codebase.
The tools and methods used in the thesis project include Flutter, Google Maps API, Agile methodology for project management, and the implementation of the BLoC (Business Logic Component) pattern for state management within the mobile application.
The application helps new students adapt to the new school as well as to the new city more conveniently and rapidly. Furthermore, the application provides recommendations for some places for students to play sports, enjoy meals, and purchase food at affordable prices. In addition, the students will be able to find more information on how they can get part-time jobs, and sell or trade goods.
