Tiivistelmä
Tämä opinnäytetyö Vahvemmat nuorten palvelut Nakkilaan – Nuorten näke-myksiä nuorisotyön tulevaisuudesta käsittelee Nakkilan 13-17-vuotiaiden nuorten näkemyksiä nuorisotyön nykytilanteesta sekä siitä, millaiseksi he toivoisivat nuorisotyön tulevaisuudessa muuttuvan. Kehittämiseen pohjautuvan opinnäytetyön tilaajana toimi Nakkilan kunta. Opinnäytetyö kirjoitettiin Vahvemmat nuorten palvelut Nakkila-Harjavalta yhteiskehittämisellä -hankkeen pohjalta.
Opinnäytetyön tehtävänä on tuottaa ajankohtaista tietoa nuorten palveluiden järjestämisestä rakenteellisesti muuttuvassa toimintaympäristössä.
This thesis, "Stronger youth services in Nakkila - Youth perspectives on the future of youth work," explores the views of 13-17-year-old young people in Nakkila regarding the current state of youth work and how they hope youth work will evolve in the future. The client for this development-based thesis was the Municipality of Nakkila. The thesis was written based on the Nakkila-Harjavalta codevelopment project called “Stronger youth services in Nakkila-Harjavalta.”
The objective of this thesis is to provide current information on the structurally changing operating environment of youth services for young people. The aim is to make the collected material available to decision-makers and those work-ing with young people and to encourage all levels of the organization to reflect on the current situation of young people and contribute to development.
Group interviews were used as the primary method for collecting the thesis's data, with secondary methods including individual interviews and everyday observations. The thesis utilized a customer-centered evaluation model called Bikva, which was chosen as the method for data collection because young service users have the most up-to-date knowledge of services from the youth perspective. In addition to group discussions conducted using the Bikva model, data for the thesis was collected in the form of everyday encounters and the “What Annoys You” event.
Based on the results, it was found that the young people in Nakkila are somewhat satisfied with the current situation and the services offered to them. However, they are also willing to collaborate with decision-makers and youth work entities to brainstorm ideas for the future of youth work. This thesis discusses these ideas for youth development and their perspectives on the future.
As a result of the development project and this thesis, current information was provided to the decision-makers of Nakkila municipality and those working with youth about the direction young people themselves want to take in developing services that concern them."
